Government of Uganda
Uganda Cooperative Savings and Credit Union (UCSCU) an apex of all SACCOs’ in Uganda is implementing the Rural Financial Services program (RFSP) of the Government of Uganda (GoU) the fourth pillar of the Prosperity for All Programme (PFA), with support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

World Council of Credit Unions Inc. (WOCCU)
With head office in Wisconsin, USA, WOCCU is the world’s advocate, platform for innovation and development agency for SACCOs (also called Credit Unions in developed countries). WOCCU renders technical support to UCSCU, and the union has access to all WOCCU’s tools and methodologies.

Canadian Cooperative Association (CCA)
UCSCU is working closely with CCA in a technical relationship. CCA with its head offices in Ottawa, Canada is reputed for technical skills in many key SACCO development areas such as legal reforms. CCA was instrumental in drafting a new law for SACCOs in Ghana.

Other Key Partners
UCSCU is affiliated to Association of Microfinance Institution in Uganda (AMFIU) and the Uganda Cooperative Alliance (UCA) which are apexes for MFIs and for all cooperatives respectively.

The office operates hand in hand with the District Commercial Officers and other stakeholders such as National Agriculture Advisory Services (NAADS), Post Bank Uganda (PBU) and the Micro Finance Support Centre (MSC).
